He rose to fame in the cricketing world after his remarkable performance in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he was awarded the Player of the Tournament award.

Life

Jaiswal’s journey to cricketing stardom began at a young age. He was born in a family of limited means and had to struggle a lot to pursue his dream of playing cricket. His father, Bhupendra Jaiswal, was a shopkeeper, and the family had to relocate to Mumbai in search of better opportunities. However, their struggles did not end there, and they had to live in a tent on the ground of the Muslim United Club in Mumbai for three years.

During this time, Jaiswal honed his cricketing skills by playing with a tennis ball on the ground. His hard work and dedication soon paid off when he was selected to play for the Muslim United Club, where he impressed everyone with his batting skills. He then went on to play for various other clubs and was soon noticed by the Mumbai Cricket Association.

Career

In 2015, Jaiswal was selected to play for the Mumbai under-16 team, where he scored a record-breaking 319 runs in a single innings. He continued to impress in the under-19 category and was soon selected to play for the India under-19 team. He made his debut in international cricket in 2019, where he played against Sri Lanka in a one-day match.

However, it was in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup where Jaiswal truly shone. He finished as the tournament’s top run-scorer with 400 runs in six matches, including an unbeaten century against Pakistan in the semi-finals. His performances helped India win their fourth Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and Jaiswal was awarded the Player of the Tournament award.

Jaiswal’s success in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup earned him a contract with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his IPL debut in 2020 and played seven matches, scoring 40 runs. However, he did not get a chance to play in the 2021 season due to injury.

Jaiswal’s cricketing career has been nothing short of remarkable so far. He has overcome numerous obstacles and has worked hard to achieve his dream of playing for India. His story is an inspiration to many young cricketers who come from humble backgrounds and face numerous challenges in pursuing their passion for cricket.

Jaiswal is known for his aggressive batting style and has been compared to Indian cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar, due to his technique and strokeplay. He is also a handy left-arm spinner and has the ability to pick up crucial wickets when needed. His versatility and all-round abilities make him a valuable asset to any team he plays for.

Jaiswal’s success has not gone unnoticed, and he has received numerous awards and accolades for his performances.
